Well who the hell didn’t know this one was coming!!!?
For those of you who didn’t know for sure. Yes... Colin Powell is a Republican. And yes... he was Secretary of State under President Bush from 2001 to 2005.
With that said... my take on Powell’s endorsement of Obama is this...
My full respect for Powell went straight out the window on Sunday when I heard the news. Here, for the first time in my life, I finally saw a side of General Colin Powell that I had never seen before. On Sunday... I saw Powell put COLOR FIRST over HIS COUNTRY!!!
GOD HELP US...
No other words needed...

My take is this...
Governor Sarah Palin knocked it out of the park tonight. And Biden knew it!
Take away all of Biden’s misinformation he threw out there tonight and Sarah comes away with a sure win. She didn’t have to mislead anyone to make her points... and I like that in my politicians.
GREAT JOB Governor!!!
Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah......

From Obama’s Official Website:
Saturday, 2:15am CDT
Barack has chosen Joe Biden to be his running mate.
Joe Biden brings extensive foreign policy experience, an impressive record of collaborating across party lines, and a direct approach to getting the job done.
We have our team, but we also have our work cut out for us.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the leaders who will bring the change our country needs. But they can't do it alone...

* The following is from an email I got this morning from Barack Obama. It goes in part as follows:
Friend --
.
I have some important news that I want to make official.
.
I've chosen Joe Biden to be my running mate.
.
Joe and I will appear for the first time as running mates this afternoon in Springfield, Illinois -- the same place this campaign began more than 19 months ago.
.
I'm excited about hitting the campaign trail with Joe, but the two of us can't do this alone. We need your help to keep building this movement for change.
.
Please let Joe know that you're glad he's part of our team. Share your personal welcome note and we'll make sure he gets it:

The following is from the McCain Team
JohnMcCain.com
As Senator Obama finally heads overseas to see the situation in Iraq first-hand, we are releasing a new video, "The Obama Iraq Documentary: Whatever the Politics Demand" that explores Senator Obama's record of shifting political positions on the critical national security issue of Iraq.
Over the past year, both Barack Obama and John McCain have taken part in a great national debate over the war in Iraq. It quickly became clear that the Bush Administration was pursuing a failed strategy in Iraq and we needed change. John McCain alone had the courage and judgment to stand up and call for a surge of troops and a new strategy to win the war in Iraq - a strategy that is succeeding. Barack Obama repeatedly opposed the surge strategy, saying it would fail. John McCain made the right call at great political risk - he put his country first.
Today, we know Senator Obama was wrong, and rather than admit his mistake, Barack Obama is now trying to pretend that he was for the surge all along. Click here to watch our new documentary and see his record for yourself.
Sadly, Senator Obama's actions are just more politics as usual. I don't know who should be more disappointed - the supporters whose faith in Senator Obama has already been betrayed, or the people who Senator Obama now expects to believe his new sales pitch. Either way, one thing is clear - Senator Obama has shown that he is just another politician.
Regards,
Rick Davis

Standing before a throng of supporters with American flags as her backdrop, Hillary Clinton did something Saturday that 17 months ago seemed unthinkable - she conceded defeat... The former first lady, who as recently as Tuesday declared herself the strongest candidate, gave former rival Barack Obama an unqualified endorsement and pivoted from her role as determined foe to absolute ally. She suspended her historic bid for the White House, settling the dust following a grueling 17-month campaign... Clinton repeatedly called on her supporters to unite behind the Illinois senator...
