Sam Brownback, who ran for the GOP presidential nomination on a platform that stressed his "principled, conservative, Republican" credentials, just dropped out of the race for the White House. He never rose above the low single digits in national polls of Republicans. "Today I'm ending my candidacy," Brownback said... "It's been a fabulous journey for me and my family," he added. "Our ideals haven't won yet, but they won't be forgotten." ...
