In Trinity United Church Of Christ
Saturday
, May 31, 2008
FOXNews.com brings us this report this evening and it starts off like this... Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have resigned their membership at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, after controversies stemming from the church created a persistent distraction for Obama’s campaign... Obama said Saturday that he made the decision with “some sadness,” but that he had been discussing it with his family for “quite some time” and that he did not want to be a continuing burden on the congregation...

Kentucky - Oregon Primary - May 20, 2008

Kentucky - Oregon Primary
Tuesday
, May 20, 2008

All of those in the know of the MSM are saying
Hillary Clinton is the projected Winner
of the Kentucky Primary...

Looks like Hillary will take the state by a fairly large margin too. Possibly as high as a 2 to 1 margin.

Congratulations on your Win tonight, Hillary!!!
Even though it is a little too late...

Votes are still being counted in Oregon, according to Fox News, and early returns are not expected until later in the night. It will be after 10:00pm CDT before a call on Oregon can be made... if then.

Looks like Obama is going to take the State by a fair margin tonight but he does not have near as big a lead as Hillary had over him in Kentucky.

Congratulations on your Win tonight, Barack!!!

The following is an E-Mail Letter from Barack Obama tonight...

Friend --

The polls are closed in Kentucky and votes are being counted in Oregon, and it's clear that tonight we have reached a major milestone on this journey.
We have won an absolute majority of all the delegates chosen by the people in this Democratic primary process.

From the beginning, this journey wasn't about me or the other candidates. It was about a simple choice -- will we continue down the same road with the same leadership that has failed us for so long, or will we take a different path?

Too many of us have been disappointed by politics and politicians more times than you can count. We've seen promises broken and good ideas drowned in a sea of influence, point-scoring, and petty bickering that has consumed Washington.
Yet, in spite of all the doubt and disappointment -- or perhaps because of it -- people have stood for change.

Unfortunately, our opponents in the other party continue to embrace yesterday's policies and they will continue to employ yesterday's tactics -- they will try to change the subject, and they will play on fears and divisions to distract us from what matters to you and your future.

But those tactics will not work in this election.

They won't work because you won't let them.

Not this time. Not this year.

We still have work to do to in the remaining states, where we will compete for every delegate available.

But tonight, I want to thank you for everything you have done to take us this far -- farther than anyone predicted, expected, or even believed possible.

And I want to remind you that you will make all the difference in the epic challenge ahead.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

Barack Obama Takes Lead in Superdelegate Endorsements for First Time

Barack Obama Takes Lead in
Superdelegate Endorsements for First Time

Saturday,
May 10, 2008
.

FOXNews.com brings us this good news for Barack... but bad news for Hillary and it goes in part like this... Barack Obama has taken the lead in superdelegate endorsements for the first time, marking a potential turning point in the endgame of the Democratic primary... Obama picked up four superdelegates Saturday, after rounding up nine such endorsements the day before. The gains erased Hillary Clinton’s once-imposing lead among the party officials and insiders who play a key part in selecting the nominee...

* Bloomberg.com has the following report... Crude oil rose to a record above $123 a barrel in New York after a government report showed that U.S. worker productivity accelerated in the first quarter, signaling stronger economic growth and increased energy demand... Oil doubled in the past year and may rise further if the economy improves in the U.S., the world’s biggest energy user. Productivity, a measure of efficiency, climbed at a 2.2 percent annual rate after a 1.8 percent gain in the fourth quarter, the Labor Department said today... The report “shows that maybe our economy is starting to strengthen here,” said Gordon Elliott, risk management specialist at FC Stone LLC in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. “It’s hard to believe we could get more demand at these prices, but it could be” the case...

Pelosi Premium: Will House Dems Continue Voting to Keep "Commonsense Plan" to Lower Gas Prices Under Wraps?

House Republicans to Force More Votes Today to Demand that Speaker Pelosi Finally Unveil Her "Commonsense Plan" to Bring Down Gas Prices

Washington, May 7 - More than two years after Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised the American people she and her Democratic colleagues would help them deal with the price at the pump, she has yet to reveal her “commonsense plan” to lower gas prices or the “real solutions that will lower the price at the pump.” On January 4, 2007, the day that Rep. Pelosi became Speaker, the American people were paying an average of $2.33 per gallon for gasoline. Sixteen months later the American people are shelling out an average $3.62 per gallon – a whopping $1.29 more than the day she took the gavel. And her vaunted “commonsense plan” still remains a secret. This $1.29 Pelosi Premium is stretching family budgets, hurting small businesses, and forcing communities from coast to coast to cut critical services such as school bus transportation and law enforcement.

That’s why last month,
Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV) introduced legislation demanding that Speaker Pelosi finally reveal her “commonsense plan.” Since then, House Democrats have voted no less than five times against real, bipartisan solutions to address the Pelosi Premium:

Today, during consideration of two housing measures (H.R. 3221 and H.R. 5818), House Republicans will once again give Democrats the chance to address our nation’s soaring gas prices. Do Democrats honestly believe American families want them to continue voting to keep the Speaker’s plan under wraps at a time when they are feeling the pain of the Pelosi Premium? If they do, they’ll vote down the Heller legislation again today. But if Democrats are really serious about fulfilling the Speaker’s promise to the American people, they’ll finally do the right thing by voting to bring the “commonsense plan” to light.

If Speaker Pelosi has a plan that can help ease the strain of high fuel costs on American families, small businesses, and communities, she should reveal it. The American people expect both parties to work together to make our country more energy independent, lower energy prices here at home, and secure our energy future.

(Note: This post on top today – Scroll for newer post below this one)
Voters head to the polls in North Carolina and Indiana today with both Barack and Hillary hoping for major wins tonight. With 187 combined delegates up for grabs between the two states... it might end up being a very long night before we know just how the final delegate split works out.
...
Like you... I too will be watching this intently today and tonight.
I can’t help it... I love this stuff!!!

5:30pm CDT...
While we wait for the polls to close and the results to start trickling in, check out this News Article I found at the ABC News website. It starts off like this... Preliminary exit poll results indicate that just under half of Democratic primary voters in Indiana and North Carolina alike call the controversy surrounding the Rev. Jeremiah Wright an important factor in their vote, a potential wildcard in the outcome of these two contests.

* SENATOR BARACK OBAMA WINS NORTH CAROLINA *

All of those in the know of the MSM are now saying Barack has won North Carolina. The way I’m looking at it right now is he has slaughtered Hillary overall in this State Primary.

We are waiting on a call by anyone on the Indiana Primary. Yet I must say it looks like a Hillary win... yet I’m seeing it as a very small % win for her.

All in all... Looking like a very bad night for Hillary...
We will know just how bad... maybe some good... in a few more hours.
9:15pm CDT...
I have been waiting on FOX to go ahead and say they too have Hillary as the winner of the Indiana. But... they are still not ready to make that call...
With that said... most all the rest in the know of the MSM are now saying...
SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON has won Indiana.

Summing tonight up... Barack is the overall BIG Winner of today’s North Carolina / Indiana Primaries.

I’d have to say he is now over the hump and the winner of the Democrats Presidential Race.

Congratulations go out to SENATOR BARACK OBAMA
